    As a visionary entrepreneur, Philip has founded and led multiple successful ventures. His co-founded firm, Institutional Real Estate Services, grew rapidly to $32 million in revenue with over 125 employees, earning recognition from the US Chamber of Commerce with the Blue Chip Enterprise Award. Philip’s expertise spans real estate development, brokerage, and consulting. He has brokered over $650 million in real estate assets and closed significant deals, including a 72,000 square foot office lease for Weatherford Energy in Houston.

    Throughout his career, Philip has demonstrated a talent for transforming underperforming businesses.

    As President of Burch Consultants, he turned the company into a nationally recognized VAR and

    Tom has been a healthcare thought leader for more than 30 years.  He has successfully built value in organizations from start-up to more than $13 Billion in revenue.  Tom’s roots are in finance, but he has demonstrated fluency in product development, marketing, and P&L management in addition to mergers and acquisitions.

    Tom has been a healthcare thought leader for more than 30 years.  He has successfully built value in organizations from start-up to more than $13 Billion in revenue.  Tom’s roots are in finance, but he has demonstrated fluency in product development, marketing, and P&L management in addition to mergers and acquisitions. 

    As CFO, Tom nurtured a health plan from infancy to over $3 Billion in revenue in the early years of managed care. 

    Tom now devotes his time to projects that he is passionate about.  He works on and invests in healthcare initiatives that focus on population health, improving primary care access, and health outcomes. 

    Tom also works alongside his three sons in a few non-medical related family ventures that they are building together.

    Michael Kaufman, MD, JD, has been a senior healthcare executive for over 25 years. He has

    served as the Chief Medical Officer of WellPoint Health Network, PacifiCare Health Systems,

    Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Alameda Alliance for Health, and Astiva Health.

    Michael Kaufman, MD, JD, has been a senior healthcare executive for over 25 years. He has

    served as the Chief Medical Officer of WellPoint Health Network, PacifiCare Health Systems,

    Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Alameda Alliance for Health, and Astiva Health. 

    In these roles, he has been directly responsible for medical leadership of Commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid programs. Specifically, he was a member of the senior leadership team and oversaw medical management, quality of care, regulatory compliance, population health,

    value-based contracting, behavioral health, pharmacy, and healthcare data analytics. In

    addition, he was actively involved in M&A due diligence.

    Dr. Kaufman began his healthcare career as a lawyer with Hogan and Hartson in Washington, DC, and Ropes and Gray in Boston specializing in managed care and hospital regulatory and medical staff and compliance issues.  He also served as in-house counsel for Hawthorne Community Medical Group, at the time the 5th largest medical group in the US, and the owner of Maxicare, the first for-profit HMO in the US. 

    He also founded and was the CEO of 2mPlus, a healthcare consulting company, and the owner of one of the first physician-led home care programs.

    Dr. Kaufman is a Board Certified Pediatrician with a clinical background as a pediatric hospitalist.
